Porsche in Windowbox |
Since the end of 2014, small 1/64 scale collector models have been offered under the name "Schuco" in the series "Edition 1:64." Accident or not - the first model of the series was a Porsche 911 Turbo (930) from 1975. But this is exactly the model, which no longer came into production in the 1:66 series. Thus at least this model was for me highly interesting and I of course wanted to get all versions of it. In the series there are also other "overlaps" with my actual collection area. It was therefore also foreseeable that I had to expand my collection, because the models fit together naturally in size. |

Initially, I was only interested in the classics (model year before 2000) in this series, since mid 2022, however, I have now expanded my collection, I have also acquired bracketed off models as yet and so I'm a complete collector now. The reason for the expansion was the receipt of a larger collection in which of course included some newer Porsche models - so the virus is still active (I mean of course the collecting virus ). |

These edition 1:64 models are produced in China, although they usually have no movable parts, but are very detailed built and also painted or decorated, even have rubber-tired wheels with rims matching the model. | |
For some regions in the world there are partly exclusive models - e.g. for USA, Japan or Hong Kong. One interesting detail is that these models are even partially designed as right-hand drive. |

The models usually come in window boxes, but for America in blisters. Also for Japan there are blisters, there is but additionally a cardboard box in the blister. |

The models for America also have Chase versions. Instead of the model colour, these are painted with clear varnish, all other details (decals) are available. Since a dealer carton contains 24 models and one of them is a Chase model a ratio of 1 to 23 is obtained. Meanwhile, at least in Hong Kong there are also Chase models, but the models are delivered in Windowboxes, so the ratio is different. I do not currently have exact information on this, but probably 1 to 20, maybe 21 models in cardboard, one of them Chase. |

This is intended a purely private side of a collector (as a reference for other collectors) and the used logos / names belong to the respective lawful owners. For the correctness of the information I can give no guarantee - if a little should be wrong, I would be glad about right information / supplements ( mail me).
Thank you for your visit and a lot of fun wishes
